A Little About Me!
My name is Megan Zavernik, and I am (almost) 33 years old. This is my 11th year teaching 4th grade at Forest Glen. I graduated from St. Norbert College with my undergraduate degree and went on to obtain my reading specialist masters degree from Concordia University. I have been married to my husband Brett for 6 years, and we have two beautiful daughters: Brynn Leigh (5 years old) & Brayleigh Josephine (3 year old). We also have a 7 year old black lab named Leila.
In my free time, I love to spend time with my family, take walks and just have quiet me time! One of my most favorite things that you're children will catch right away is how much I live for COFFEE! Mrs. Z seems to always have a latte in hand. I consider myself to be pretty technology savvy and am really excited about districts digital transformation! You will notice that most of what we do in our classroom will be centered around technology, after all, I'm preparing your children for their future and it's crucial that they have skills necessary to be successful in an ever changing technologically advancing society!
I feel that it's extremely important for me to share not only who I am as a professional, but also who I am as a person with my students/families to build that trust and connection with each of you! I truly enjoy teaching and hope that your family is prepared for the best 4th grade year ever!
